The Art of Glass Walking

Glasswalking

No growth without assistance

We’re taught from an early age that glass cuts and fire burns ~ but what if that belief you’ve held for so long is proven wrong? How many other barriers to achieving your potential can you break when this one shifts?

Walking on glass isn’t easy to describe but it is truly transformational!

Glasswalking immediately changes our perceptions; fear becomes a word which has a particular energy attached to it and once we learn to harness this energy, the world truly becomes our oyster. We just need a little understanding and a shift in perspective to do it.

Mindfulness, discipline and focus are what we need in everyday life but don’t always use; perhaps it’s time to experience this potentially life-changing exercise and re-open our minds to possibilities.

Dropping any unhealthy pattern is difficult; be it chocolate, shopping, sex, alcohol or drugs, but there are ways we can help ourselves. This is the most difficult part; committing to, or investing in the self. Many people don’t have such a sense of worth, so investing in ‘me‘ doesn’t enter their heads… unless the training is fun, experiential and has some proven benefits – but it’s difficult to show to others the change that happens inside.

This was my dilemma when I was first asked to take part in Britain’s Got Talent.

Of course being on the show would add to my ‘social proof’ but how would walking on glass be portrayed? Let’s bear in mind here that BGT is an entertainment show – and the one thing I tell people who want to come to watch is that it’s not a spectator’s sport; participate or go shopping or do something else completely meaningless. (And yeah, I’m not known for my tact – I just say it as I see it.)

I swithered. I asked my network on Facebook what they thought I should do, many of whom have done some training with me professionally. Almost all voted for me to go for it. My one niggly driving force was that I must always walk my own talk – if I tell others to look for and act upon opportunities – I must also be prepared to do the same.

I decided to seek further information. I called Terri, the researcher who’d initially contacted me. She assured me that there is in fact a place for show-casing good work (albeit a bit on the zany side) in communities.

At the audition I was well looked after and the producer who auditioned me had already walked on glass – so she got it right away. What she claimed ‘impressed’ her was the context in which I use these transformational skills.

The main concern of the team is ‘imitability’ – copy-cat activities at home which they could be held responsible for. I’ll just have to wait and see – but I relished the whole day’s events and have now tucked it under my belt as another empowering experience for me.

If there was one thing I’d love to get to do is have the Hoff to walk the glass with me – that guy is SO up for anything, but I won’t know if I’ve gotten that far until February or March of next year.

So don’t hold your breaths folks!

Here’s what you could expect on a Kick the Habit workshop;

After a session of interesting introspection where we’ll identify personal barriers with the utmost honesty (and in a very private way); you’ll be asked to ‘play’ around with issues relating to trust and personal responsibility. The activities promote choice – the choice to remain in a ‘stuck’ place with your problem OR the chance to deal with the (imaginary) brick wall that stops you from proceeding towards your dream.

I term it ‘changing your chi’ ~ this is where you make a conscious decision to alter or radically change something in your life which serves no positive purpose.  At this point your entire body and mind are completely in alignment with that decision.

Walking over glass is a way of embedding or anchoring the feelings of empowerment over old fears as well as peace and contentment as you release the negativity of past experiences.

This fresh, empowering experience will help to support your new way of being. You’ll have a sense of self-love and you’ll honour the ‘self’ you now wish to be.

For some, this can be quite a mind-blowing activity, for others it can be quite emotional as the traumas of the past ebb away.

Now is your chance!

Fill yourself with self-belief whilst kicking whatever habit no longer serves…

Take yourself seriously and get booked onto the next available date.

Whatever your pattern, we’ll break it together if you have the desire to.

Only 12 places per session so early booking is advisable.
